Running for Town Board: In 2024, the Town of Oregon will have two town board supervisor positions open. As a potential candidate, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with election and campaign finance requirements that apply to your campaign. You may obtain genearl information including required paperwork and dates to return from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. If you would like a copy of paperwork, please request here https://townoforegonwi.gov/contact-us/. Important Dates: December 1, 2023 – First day nomination papers can be circulated. December 22, 2023 – Deadline for incumbents not seeking re-election to file Notice of Non-candidacy. January 2, 2024 – All papers and forms due in Town of Oregon Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. January 5, 2024 – Deadline to challenge nomination papers. Necessary Forms Please refer to the Ballot Access Checklist for Non-Partisan Local Candidates. The following forms must be completed and filed by 5:00 pm the first Tuesday in January in order for the candidate’s name to be placed on the ballot for the Spring Primary and/or the Spring General Election: Campaign Registration Statement Declaration of Candidacy Nomination Papers
