The Town of Oregon invites residents to attend a public hearing on the proposed 2027 budget on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Oregon Town Hall, 1138 Union Road, Oregon, WI 53575.

Meeting Schedule

• 6:00 p.m. — Public Budget Hearing: Review the Town’s proposed 2027 budget.
• Immediately following the hearing — Special Meeting of Electors: Consider approval of the 2026 total town tax levy, to be collected in 2027, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 60.10(1)(a). The Town Board has called this meeting pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 60.12(1)(c).
• Following the Special Meeting of Electors, but no earlier than 6:30 p.m. — Regular Town Board Meeting: The agenda will be posted prior to the meeting.

Proposed Budget Highlights

• Total proposed revenues and expenditures: $3,044,003.
• Proposed town tax levy: $1,432,363 for 2026 taxes payable in 2027.
• Estimated Town mill rate: $1.86 per $1,000 of assessed value. This is the Town portion only; the estimate is subject to change when final assessed values are available.
• Proposed capital outlay: $767,400, including $725,400 for highway road construction.
