VILLAGE OF OREGON Road Closure: West Netherwood Street

West Netherwood Street will be CLOSED to through traffic between Cusick Parkway and North Burr Oak Avenue on Tuesday, July 29, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  This closure is necessary for the replacement of the existing metal culvert under West Netherwood Street with a new concrete culvert.

What to Expect

  • Temporary Gravel Surface:   After the new culvert is installed, the road surface directly above it will remain gravel for 1-2 weeks. This allows time for the new material to settle and compact properly.
  • Pavement Patch:  Once the gravel area has compacted, a new pavement patch will be installed.  Another notification will be sent before this final paving takes place.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete this essential infrastructure improvement.
