Waiving Interest on Property Tax Payments Installments Due on or After April 1, 2020

The Town Board approved Resolution No. 04-2020 Waiving Interest on Property Tax Payment Installments Due on or After April 1, 2020 after Dane County passed a similar resolution; 2020 RES-2020 Authorizing a Taxation District to Waive interest and Penalties on Property Tax Payment Installments Due on or After April 1, 2020.

“The resolution will allow municipalities and other taxing districts in the county to waive interest and penalties on 2020 property tax payments due on or after April 1 until Oct. 1. The waiver is intended to help property taxpayers experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 outbreak.”
